WFH due to COVID-19, what is the opinion of the lecturer?

As we know, our earth is experiencing a COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 is an abbreviation of Corona Virus Disease-19. To prevent the spread of the virus, our country conducts WFH. WFH is an abbreviation of Work From Home, which is defined as working from home. Since mid-March, more precisely on March 16, our beloved campus ISTTS implemented the WFH system after President Joko Widodo announced to implement WFH due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many opinions are pros and cons in dealing with this WFH learning system. This was also conveyed by one of the lecturers named Mr. Evan KS. According to him, we must follow the policies issued by the government and the results of the campus rector's meeting with the WFH system, aimed at preventing the spread of corona. This is because the possibility of spreading of corona is very high. He also saw that the positive side of WFH was that lecturers who were old enough began to study again using new technologies for communication with their students. Not only the positive side he felt, but also the negative side.
While conducting teaching and learning activities online, he struggled to see the expressions of students, because he did not use face cam when teaching. His teaching methods are also not very suitable for online teaching and learning activities. Why? Because when face to face in class, he can see the expression of students if they understand or not. But in this learning activity, all students turn off their mic and there is rarely a response when asked. So, he did not understand whether his students understood the explanation or not.
He also conveyed a motivation, namely "It's okay to not be your most productive during a global pandemic" which means, it's okay if you are not the most productive during this global pandemic. He also conveyed another motivation, namely "Keep the spirit! This is your chance to become a hero of the nation and state just by staying at home! Not only that, he also conveyed suggestions for online teaching and learning activities. "For the Minister of Education and Culture or the Minister of Communication and Information, the internet speed in Indonesia should be increased again. Students / Students struggle to follow video streams because the internet speed is very slow ", he said.
And hopefully this COVID-19 pandemic will pass quickly! Always pray, eat nutritious foods, and a healthy lifestyle starts to be applied from now on! Greetings healthy!
