Workshop Videography STV X ISTTS, continues on Sunday 17 March 2024. This event, which is aimed at STV (Sinlui TV) members, is an event that lasts for 2 days, where the participants stay overnight at their school, precisely at SMAK St. Louis 1 Surabaya.
The participants were woken up at 5 am, but because they had been active the previous day, they were tired. At 6 am, the participants went to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Surabaya Cathedral, which is located close to their school.
After undergoing worship, precisely at 07.00 in the morning, the STV members returned to the STV X ISTTS Videography Workshop, specifically the Benedictus Room. There they were served breakfast in the form of Petite Rice and chicken noodles. During this break, they were given the task of editing the video they had prepared the previous day.
The atmosphere in the Benedictus Room is very calm. The participants focused on their media editing, either via their cellphones or laptops. Songs are also played so that participants can focus on their work. Participants who had been divided into groups on the previous day, communicated with their fellow group members so that the video could be completed perfectly.
The time to edit this video is given for 1 hour 30 minutes, so at 08.30 this session should have ended. However, due to complaints from participants, this session was extended. Gangsar Septa Putra Hidayanta, S.Psi. as the guiding teacher for this event gave a lecture about responsibility, that if they stalled a lot of time, then they must have the courage to take responsibility if their return time is later in the day.
Exactly at 09.00, the participants were stopped from their work. The ice breaking session led by Mr. Septa began. Participants are invited to do exercises together. The movements from the gymnastics were quite entertaining, so the participants laughed out loud. This ice breaking session lasted for 10 minutes, after which the participants were invited to return to their seats.
The assessment session began. The judges came from SMAK St.Louis 1 Surabaya teachers, specifically teachers who work in the digital marketing field. Then the assessment was carried out. The participants' edited videos are displayed via a projector, and the judges provide input and criticism based on the videos shown.
There are two videos shown from each group, namely a video made when they were on Jalan Tunjungan, and another video when they were at the Youth Hall. This video was recorded on Saturday, March 16 2024, and edited in a short time, using each individual's abilities and implementing the teachings given at the beginning of this workshop.
For 2 hours, the participants showed the videos they had made through a projector, where the judges gave their responses. The videos shown vary, because each group has different themes in their videos. Therefore, the settings and stories told vary based on the creativity of each group.
After all the videos were shown, the closing was given by Mr. Septa. The closing began with the presentation of souvenirs from SMAK St Louis 1 Surabaya to speakers from ISTTS. After that, there was an announcement of the winners, who were group 5. The prizes were given by Mrs. Yanti to group 5. At the end of the event, there was a closing prayer and closing greetings by the PIC of this event, namely Felix.
At the STV x ISTTS videography workshop, there was one important lesson that was repeated, namely time management. The ability to manage time is one of the important points emphasized at this event, especially on the second day. Mr. Septa reminded that Sinlui TV members must learn to manage their time, so that work that is approaching the collection deadline can be completed immediately.
This lesson is not only for this event, but we can use it in our future lives. As Mr. Septa said, the lessons learned today are not only for today, but can be useful for our future.
